Guide

How to Book Safely

Quick answer

Compare doctors and their published packages, request written quotes (they reach you immediately), let your free patient assistant review each quote, and pay the clinic directly only after the doctor has assessed you and you have the written quote.

Ask the right questions before you travel for treatment. The steps below help you avoid bad surprises.

Checklist

Verify before you book

Nine essentials that apply wherever you choose to get treatment.

Check the doctor’s qualifications

Ask for the treating doctor’s licence, specialist qualification and registration number, and check them with the national medical council.

Check the clinic’s licence

Ask for the facility’s valid licence from its national health authority and any recognised accreditation it holds.

Get a written, itemised quote

Do not rely on a verbal price. Ask for a written plan with the procedure, technique, materials or implants, and the total price.

Understand the revision and complication policy

Get in writing what the clinic does if a revision is needed or a complication occurs, and who pays for it.

Check what the package includes

Hospital stay, anaesthesia, medication, hotel nights, transfers, interpreter and check-ups should be listed — and so should what is not included.

Read reviews tied to real bookings

Prefer reviews and photos tied to completed treatments over anonymous testimonials.

Speak to the treating doctor

Have a consultation with the doctor who will treat you, in a language you both understand.

Pay in a traceable way

Avoid paying the full amount in cash in advance. Keep every receipt and agreement.

Plan recovery with your surgeon

How long to stay, when you can fly and who to contact after you return are questions for your surgeon — ask before you book.

Before you decide

10 questions to ask the clinic

Ask them in writing and keep the answers with your quote.

  1. Who will perform the treatment, and what is their specialist qualification?
  2. What exactly is included in the quoted price, and what is not?
  3. Is the price provisional — can it change after the examination, and by how much at most?
  4. Which materials, implants or devices will be used (brand and model)?
  5. What are the main risks of this treatment, and is it suitable for me?
  6. How many days do I need to stay, and when can I fly home?
  7. How much is the deposit, and what happens if I cancel?
  8. If a revision is needed or a complication occurs, what happens and who pays?
  9. Who follows up after I return home, and how?
  10. Can I have all of this in writing?

Red flags

If you see any of these, pause — and do not pay until your questions are answered clearly.

  • Pressure to decide or pay immediately
  • Countdowns or “last places” used to rush you
  • Prices far below every other published price
  • Promises of a certain result
  • No written treatment plan or quote
  • No licence or qualification you can check
  • Contact only by chat, with no clinic address
  • The doctor you meet is not the one who treats you
After treatment

If something goes wrong

  • Tell the clinic in writing and keep every document: photos, reports, invoices and messages.
  • In an emergency, go to the nearest medical facility first.
  • Message your patient assistant: together you look at your options and at what to write to the clinic.
  • You can report a complaint from the provider’s profile or from your account.
  • The platform is not insurance: it does not pay compensation or treatment costs.
What we do

What The More Clinics does

Licence reviewed by our team

Our team reviews the licence document; if it is approved, the provider gets the Verified badge. Other approved providers show as Approved. Profiles we compiled from public sources show as Unclaimed. Other documents the provider uploads are shown on the profile too.

Free patient assistant

A patient assistant is assigned when you open an account or send your first message, and stays on your file for 6/12 months after treatment.

Published prices & real reviews

Ratings come only from reviews by patients who booked through us; a Google/Trustpilot rating is shown separately and is not verified by us.
